I've attempted to learn snowboarding a few times the last couple of years, but to no avail.  So I thought of switching over to skiing, but my own pride wanted me to give it one last effort before giving up.  Luckily, I discovered a Guaranteed to Ski/Ride Program at Mountain Creek.  For only $119, you get 3 days worth of rentals, limited ski lift tickets and a 1.5 hr group lesson.  And if you don't get it, you can continue getting free group lessons until you do.  

This was a deal not to be missed and I definitely do not regret it spending that money.  I did my lessons within a week, which helped with the continuity.  The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful.  Even the person who did my rentals took some time to look for the exact size board that I wanted to use.  The instructors were also very patient and encouraging, especially since I needed more time getting my toe side right.  

So now I can, more or less, carve down a mountain, albeit slowly and on green terrain.  Nevertheless, it's definitely an improvement.  Maybe next season, I will go back and get more lessons to improve since they offer lessons up til the expert level.  If you've been wanting to learn snowboarding or even skiing, I would give their program a try.
